These platforms are mounted on either the ceiling or wall. With a ceiling, you will need to find the joists on the ceiling and mount it there. For this article, we’ll be installing our speed bag platform to the wall.
Hardware needed to mount a speed bag platform is typically included in the purchase. If it isn't, you'll need drywall screws, concrete screws, or bolts and drywall anchors, depending on the type of wall. You can get these at Home Depot.
Simply screw the anchors or bolts into your wall, and the platform will hang. As opposed to heavy bag mounts, speed bag platforms and speed bags themselves aren't heavy, so you don't need to take structural integrity into as much consideration.
Once the platform is installed, all you need to do is mount the bag. It will clip into the hardware in the middle of the platform. Some bags come with mounting hardware, but typically you'll use the hardware that ships with the platform itself.
Be sure that the mounting hardware swivels. This is very important for adjusting the position of the bag while you're practicing, and so things don't tangle and tear.
